Session Description:
Amid competing priorities in education, instructional coherence offers a model to ensure that students experience learning where goals, content, strategies, and assessments all work together. This workshop introduces the Instructional Coherence Model as a lens for making intentional decisions about what we teach, how we teach it, and how we assess student learning.
Participants will analyze and adapt rich tasks, design learning progressions, reflect on current assessment practices, and apply evidence-based instructional strategies. These experiences will be directly connected to the AERO Mathematics Framework, supporting the alignment of standards, learning outcomes, and instructional practices across grade levels to ensure rigor, consistency, and meaningful transfer of learning.
